We are delighted to announce that Cristián Saracco, founding partner of Allegro 234, has been appointed as a member of the jury for the upcoming edition of the VID 2025 Awards, an international packaging event for the wine sector organised by the Club de Marketing de La Rioja.
Cristián will bring to the jury a strategic perspective focused on the company, its business, and its brands, ensuring that packaging becomes part of a coherent experience, one that generates preference and aligns with the winery’s legacy and aspirations.
His addition to the panel of experts strengthens the international and multidisciplinary nature of the jury. His experience bridges branding, business, and packaging design, a key combination for participants in this competition.
It’s worth noting that the VID Awards recognise packaging projects that have entered the market in the last two years, with a minimum of 100 units, and evaluate a wide range of categories such as white, rosé, red, sparkling, limited edition, packaging other than bottles, or redesigns.
As a jury member, Cristián Saracco will assess entries with particular attention to both creative quality and strategic relevance:
- Does the design serve the winery’s business?
- Does it strengthen the brand and communicate clearly?
- Does it help the product stand out in a crowded market?
These are just some of the questions that will guide his evaluation.
“Packaging doesn’t just wrap the wine—it tells its story. Good design allows people to reconnect with the origin, the land, and the soul of the winery,” says Cristián.
The decision to include Cristián reflects the VID Awards’ commitment to involving experts who go beyond the world of graphic design, embracing business, branding, and consumers.
Finally, it’s worth mentioning that Allegro 234 boasts decades of experience in Europe and the Americas within the wine and agri-food sectors, having worked with renowned wineries such as Codorníu, Torres, and Osborne, among others. Their contributions span brand strategy, new product development, winery experience, packaging design, and international positioning.
This experience brings a deep understanding of the wine market—across cultural, business, and brand dimensions—which will undoubtedly enrich the jury’s process and quality.
